Orienteering 50:00 [3]

I didn't think I was running very fast but, generally, my splits were decent. That was nice. Unfortunately, I lost my head on C13 and was too low and into creek bottom. Then got a little lost in the buildings on the way to C14. Not sharp but my legs are moving.

Run 20:00 [3]

Easy to try to work some tight spots out. Didn't work. Legs are very slow.

Row (steady state-40) 1:05:00 [3]

2 x 20 = 2 [ 8 ( 2 at 20 + 30s at 26) ] / 2
then
5 [ 15 / 15 ] at 28, 30, 32, 30, 28

Tired. Didn't sleep well. Can't really judge how I'm doing otherwise.

Note

I was going to go for a short run but lost enthusiasm for it as the day went on.

Row (stead state - 37) 1:20:00 [3]

3x18 = 3 [ 6 (2 at 18 + 1 at 20) ] / 2
then
10 [ 1st 5 of start at 3/4 speed, 3/4 pressure]

Good work. Nice morning. Tired but doing ok. Starts were pretty good I think.

Run 40:00 [3]

Felt a little off today and so I thought the run would be a drag. However, while I was moving slowly, I was comfortable. Need to make sure to get some rest the next few days.

Row (Intervals-34) 1:10:00 [3]

3 [ 750m at 29-30 / 5min ]
then
3 [ 2min / 2min ] (first at 31-32 and the second and third at 30-31

Pace_ave, HR_max
1) 1:59.5, 163
2) 1:59.0, 166
3) 1:59.0, 167
then
1) 1:55.5, 167
2) 1:59.0, 167
3) 1:58.0, 167

Perfect morning - super nice. The 750s were solid, work, but solid. The first 2min piece was hard. The second and third were a fight to avoid a complete fade. They were supposed to be at 32, which I did on the first but couldn't hold on the second and third. The second minute of each required a good bit of brain-body disassociation. That said, it is par for the course to have a tough day after 3 days of volume and weights last night. I'm surprised that my max HR is so low. I don't know if that is a new normal or what.

Row 1:35:00 [3]

2x with Pat at Ft Worth. Another cool morning so we let ourselves sleep in. Steady state rowing varying the rate between 16 and 24. Very nice and very enjoyable row.

Lift (CoachK-9) 35:00 [3]

3 of 5 reps. I was doing good work but also getting tired. Decided I had done enough for 1 day and tomorrow morning is intervals.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [3]

Bob Woodruff Score-O. Sort of orienteering. It's a very easy park with controls no harder than yellow. However, Jim set out 54 controls and didn't torture us. Also, the temps were still cool. All and all, I really enjoyed the run. There were 4 controls in the NW corner that were too much of a bother to get to so I only hit 50. I was certainly getting tired but I didn't slow down much, just ticked them off. Nice morning.
