Orienteering 55:00 [3]
Relay, leg 1. Leg 2 = Lisa and Leg 3 = Amy Louden from QOC
Finished in 40:51 with 39:51 in errors, or it seemed like it.
Nice and cool today with some occasional sprinkles. Alas, that meant clouds and a dark woods. Man did I have trouble reading the map. That led to lots of hesitations and a few mistakes.
Enough bitching though. Had fun. At the start a good number of folks took off while I was still trying to find the start triangle. Me and about a half dozen others had a big error on C2. After crossing the creek I drifted right and was exploring the wrong set of rocks. After that I was just making my way around doing the best I could. Spent the middle part course with khall. Spent C2 through the finish with a junior who was faster than me in the woods but was missing more than me. We eventually came together again for the last two controls and sprinted in together -- it was fun to run fast.
