Day 2 at the Team Fundraiser; green course. Not a good day. Trouble on lots of controls including a 180. Lost all confidence and was consistently in the right place but not willing to hunt in the downed trees for the control and instead would think I was in the wrong place and go check somewhere else only to come back. Bleah.
Sprint at BOK.
Nice steady effort but wasn't pushing all out. Small errors on two controls - one due to not having my contacts in and coming to a dead stop thinking I was seeing a road which shouldn't have been there. And it wasn't really there - just a figment of my eyes without contacts. I need the contacts just as much for distance vision as for reading the map!
Did 3 miles on the drive at about 10 minute pace. At one point Sandy and I were going to split up but there was a guy on the drive in the dark doing nothing - no dog or anything - so we decided it would be better to stick together.
