I had a course ready to do on Sandy Run but I didn't sleep well last night and the weather was a bit iffy so decided I would have more fun just walking on the D&L trail. It was a good choice - it was a bit drizzly for a lot of the walk. Enough to be annoying had I been orienteering but fine for just strolling along. I finally made it all the way to Sandy Run and it was quite pretty. The whole walk must be gorgeous when the rhododendrons are in bloom. I explored a little looking for a way to get up onto the southern part of the Sandy Run map but there was a wall of cliffs for a long way down the D&L Trail from the bridge over Sandy Run. There was a trail paralleling Sandy Run that was a really neat tunnel through dense rhododendrons but again, a wall of cliffs to the south so not easy for me to get up or down to the rest of the map.

It seems very suspicious that there was 104m of climb. That walk was totally flat.
