Hiking (AT Corridor ) 6:58:03 [3] 7.69 mi (54:22 / mi) +545m 44:34 / mi
ahr:103 max:153

Monitoring AT boundary with Dana from Americorps. Did almost the entire west side going up Pico and located/checked the condition of 22 survey markers along the way. All bushwacking going out, terrain was rocky, but not as knarly as I expected. Divided up the tasks of repainting survey blazes and documenting and it was faster than solo, but still time consuming. Both of us spotting old blazes and witness trees helped as well.

Came back along the Catamount trail, which parallels that edge, but wanders up and down a lot.

Ran out of water at the turnaround, that made the heat difficult, but never stopped sweating.

Hamstring held up well for the hiking and climbing. A good sign
