O - competition race (Ultralong Green) 3:12:39 [3] 14.87 km (12:57 / km) +159m 12:18 / km
ahr:130 max:175

Disaster run with fair mistake on 4, bad choice on 5 and a huge 40 minute loss on 6. Truly lost in the bland briars and flat forest looking for 6 after I overshot it and made some arbitrary corrections. Ran into an equally confused Bob Lux on brown and I sure hope he made it out sooner than I. After that showed some respect for navigation and paid attention to all the clues and minor details.

Satisfied I could run for a couple hours and many miles without damage, so that was major progress. Will see how my knee feels tomorrow going down stairs, the acid test.

Ready now for snow and some months of non-impact exercise.

O - competition race (Relay champs) 1:13:00 [4] 8.0 km (9:08 / km)

Ran green leg of 8 point CSU team with Barb, Anna and Ed. Steady run but not steamy fast. Lots of hills and understory. Controls all seemed to be in pits, but got used to that after a while. No injuries.

Note

Clearing slash and a few more stumps on the upper trails. Also talked to my neighbor about using some of his forest for the Jan ski-o. Promises to be an awesome WRE sprint!
