Road Running 45:00 [0] 4.5 mi (10:00 / mi) +125m 9:12 / mi

Down at Kenny's in MD. Couple miles around the neighborhood and then over to NIH property. Very hot, but found a shallow hill in the shade for intervals. Did six quarters up and down on the grass.

Off Trail Running 40:00 [3] 1.0 mi (40:01 / mi)

Easy run up hillside and then 3 shots at 400 m scramble thru rough forest. Felt tired, probably because I had been working on the roof all afternoon.

Roller skiing long (Rte 103) 1:50:00 [2] 13.5 mi (8:09 / mi) +197m 7:48 / mi

Down to Vt Country Store and back with side trip to Bartonsville bridge and Chester bridges. The Chester bridges are gone and no traffic passes thru. Means very little traffic on 103, which is terrific. Except for the Mass and CT drivers who don't believe the signs and drive up and have to turn around and go all the way back (haven't figured out the dirt roads which can get around the problem, albeit with a bit of bumpy, dusty driving).

Felt a little unsettled; then tightened up the boots and things were better. Except my feet went numb.

Nice weather for a loop around town. Good break from putting standing seam roof on woodshed.

Bicycling (NE Kingdom) 2:03:00 [3] 27.4 mi (4:29 / mi) +510m 4:15 / mi

Newport over to Lake Seymour then up to the Canadian border and Derby Line, back against the wind. Very hilly and windy.

Then off to the Cow Palace for elk steak.

Note

Doctor day. Orthopod says the bone chip in my wrist is pretty well fused, so I can do stuff again. Got to find something I haven't been doing and start it.

Then the eye doctor, who found the retinal hemorrhage is mostly reabsorbed and in fact I can see out of my L eye again. Good news. I'll start with contacts again, too.
