Nice thanksgiving hike in the DV with Etoile on the Nationals map. With all but 7 CPs picked up (and those assigned to Ray for tomorrow) we decided to hike the middle course#4. The forest was absolutely stunning. Even nicer that it was on Saturday. I think 'showing off' the Dundas Valley awesomeness and its proximity to the city was the best part of the weekend for me - though the 30 Nationals medals our ARK Attack and ARX gang managed to win was pretty cool too.

While taking a break in the forest I noticed this article in the Toronto Star.

Nice ride with Tarno. Rail trail to Copetown then back through the DV on the trails. Valley is absolutely stunning at the moment.

AM: Hanging and vetting with theGriz in the pouring rain. What could go wrong did go wrong but we eventually figured it out. :-)

PM: CP pick-up. Just a few near the ACC.

Middle vetting with PH then CharWard. Beauty morning and awesome day of racing. I think people enjoyed the courses. :-)

Happy Anniversary Etoile.

Coach Patrick must be proud of his ARK/ARX gang. I think they took 11 medals overall today including 10 of the possible 18 in the 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16 categories. Woohoo.

Fun evening at ARK just chillin' with some of the ARX crew that were organizing the HPP Fundraiser. Then took the Schirminator, Pamtastic and a few others on an hour tour of ARK. I think getting to see ARK in action was quite valuable for them.

ARX training in DV awesomeness. O-tervals using this Fridays Nationals training flags. Then setup the HPP fundraiser with the Mercer Street Gang before it got dark. Great evening.

Another great comment. "this training was tough. After this we'll be pulling out the 'that was easy' button again on the weekend"
