What a great course, map and terrain - just too bad I didn't have the will to fight through knee pain (and lack of running fitness). Ran the first 4 checkpoints (was in first place at that point) and then decided to jog through the first two-thirds of the course (the interesting portion). It was different not being in full-on race mode but it made the orienteering more enjoyable. Heck I even stopped at one point to take off my shoe and sock to rid my foot of a thorn. Really enjoyed the orienteering. So much so that AG! and made a deal that we will spend a week down in WP and Harriman next spring. That will be super fun!
