What a great course, map and terrain - just too bad I didn't have the will to fight through knee pain (and lack of running fitness). Ran the first 4 checkpoints (was in first place at that point) and then decided to jog through the first two-thirds of the course (the interesting portion). It was different not being in full-on race mode but it made the orienteering more enjoyable. Heck I even stopped at one point to take off my shoe and sock to rid my foot of a thorn. Really enjoyed the orienteering. So much so that AG! and made a deal that we will spend a week down in WP and Harriman next spring. That will be super fun!

i had no fight, still tired and the funky remains of McD's breakfast meant I was feeling too blah to push today so I went for a fun jog around a quite nice middle distance course at West Point. didn't feel the hills like other years which is encouraging and surprisingly no knee issues despite the swelling on thurs. felt too blah to run the sprint.

well last night's fall during ARK Attack has resulted in a badly swollen knee. today's training is stretching and icing and waiting for the paddling season. My uncle changed the design of my kayak a bit. Looks even better.
