1st leg (14.3km) on IFK Mora - Ladies Night. Pretty hilarious night. After 4h had to get changed again - didnt have too much rest - layed down for 30min and ate heaps of pasta. So was at the start line with 4 other girls in sight - my aim was to beat them all, event pretty good one - KooVee Ulrika Uotila. Was kind of ready, but 1min to start when everyone switched on their lights mine didnt respond... Shit. Kept trying to switch on till the start point (all 600m or so) and stopped there as didnt was to go with tiny petzl all 14km. Luckily Sara and Katta saw me and ran to help me - fixed my shitlamp and so I started some minutes behind everyone with no one in my sight... Was really suprised as found people in my 1st control area - missed it too my passing my control and not checking number - had to come back minute later.. Well, was still not alone in the forest! Some annoying dude started to ask which is my next control number - it was the same, as well as the next 4 - he was faster roads, but in the forest was waiting for me and kept repeatin - how well you are navigating :)
On the first long leg (after 30min running) got the second suprise from my shitlamp - it went down and never gave me any light... My friend was next to me and tried to fix it, but it was impossible. So I got my petzl. But my friend convinced to take his as it was couple times stronger - I didnt hesitate a lot.. So he offered his light all the way! Ran together on the roads whewre I started to suffer, split in the forest, but as I was superb orienteer - found control just before him. Made some navigation futher on - he was running behind me I was using my brain. On another long leg he even offfered some energy drink too. Our team work was going pretty fine, except one control in detailed part where zigzaged with many others around - lost some 6-7min. Also got some glory moment when was leading some 5-7 men pack to couple of controls. 8 controls to go my friend turned into forest a bit too early, but I didnt hesitated as was already tired and didnt want to lose my light - it turned out it was the only forked control for our duo! Picked up mine control as it was on the way. On the last bit started to see 2nd leg finishers - got a bit lighter in the forest again. On the 2nd last control finally convinced him to run to finish as I was starting to be hopeless - got tired and blister on toe was hurting, so started to walk in harder places. Was damn happy in the finish that it was over... Really hurting afterwards.. ~52min behind IFK Moras 1 team who won the first leg. Was a little bit of a hero after as I managed to finish with no real light :)

The rest of girls did a great job - no mispunch, only 2 last legs were in the mass starts and we were the best girls team!!! Got petzl mini-lamps each! Awesome!!! Everyone loved it, but were careful to promise to do it any time soon - were talking about some time. Still its damn tough. And important to have good equipment :)
