Mass start. Course was 85-90% trail running, forest was thick but the few patches of open woods were sweet. Managed to eventually get away from the West Point runners and had a bit of a head-to-head with another runner but was able to get away taking a better route with 1-1.5k left to go. Knee sore and not happy at all.

First time here and it was a pleasant surprise with some really nice areas. Had a good race with no technical errors aside from a bad route to #1 when I took a looong trail route not yet realizing that the woods very fairly open and quite runnable. Less than 100 people attended and this area deserved more.

Checked out Sodus Point and the shores of Lake Ontario before in true DGL fashion going to Red Robin for dinner.

Carpool logistics opened up to join HS XC although we ran on the track. 8 x 400 starting every 2 min, so more tempo-ish than intervals. Right hamstring super tight and said no every time I tried to get some 'drive'.
