Note

Seriously contemplating running the Bay. Need at least one >20k run before Boston.

Sunday Mar 22, 2015 #

Running 58:00 [2] 12.0 km (4:50 / km)

Plan was to do a quality run but felt pretty flat and decide to just fall in line with all the Around the Bay runners on the waterfront.

Running 2:16:00 [2] 19.2 km (7:05 / km)

Nice long run with Trav. Ice or Mud were the two choices. Wore my regular running shoes so needless to say it was more challenging than usual to get up some hills.

Friday Mar 20, 2015 #

Note

6 hours of downhill skiing at Moonstone with the Smiths.

Thursday Mar 19, 2015 #

Running 57:00 intensity: (15:00 @2) + (42:00 @4) 12.7 km (4:29 / km)

Ainslie/McMaster/Longwood area. 3 x 3 km. 1142, 1150 and 1158. Although the first one was the best, the last one felt the best. Took some time to find the rhythm.

Orienteering 43:00 [1]

Shadowing Isak during X-league at Kerncliffe. Woods are snow covered but only 5-10 cm. Good first o-session for the season for Isak.

Skiing (skating) 1:17:00 [2] 20.0 km (3:51 / km)

Totally different conditions compared with yesterday. Last night's rain made it very icy. Too icy in spots to make it really enjoyable. Probably laat ski for the season. Because of little snow in December I didn't reach the same number of ski hours as previous years but still enough to have a good base going forward.

Running 1:08:00 intensity: (32:00 @2) + (36:00 @5) 11.8 km (5:46 / km)

Single figure 8's. Nice to be on grass. Legs a bit tired from skiing earlier today and yesterday but Trav didn't allow me to do anything else but running hard. Did 8 intervals every 4.5. Ran a few seconds faster each time.
