Very easy jog round the hood. Not sure I'll have legs for O practice today or not.

Control picking at Babler (1:15). Thick vegetation, cold rain, steep slopes, dead legs, and a scale I can't read is not a recipe for a fun workout. And it wasn't. However, I think it did serve it's purpose of sharpening up my nav a bit, even if the pace was a bit pokey. And, the light effort did help loosen my legs.

Warmup.

Running race (Road) 30:49 [5] 5.0 mi (6:10 / mi)
shoes: Grid A2

St. Patrick's Run. Overall very pleased. Intent was to run it as a fitness test rather than a full competitive effort, but when I went through the first mile in 6:06 feeling pretty good, I decided to hang onto the pace. Next two miles were quite tough due to exposure to the wind, though the field is big enough at this one (10,000 competitive and another 7,000 rec) that even in the 6:00 range, there are enough runners around to share the work. At 3.5 we were done fighting the wind and I did manage to get the last mile done under 6 (5:57), which was gratifying. 53rd overall, 2nd M45.

Running (Road) 17:00 [2]
shoes: Grid A2

Short warmdown as Yaya was getting hungry. We hung at the Fleet Feet tailgate, and then watched the parade (which was waaaaaay too long and I finally had to ask Yaya if we could get moving again because my back was giving me fits standing still).

So we wandered over to the arch and did a White-ish course. Yaya was pretty focused and did much better on the legs across fields than last week.
