SLOC cold nose at Rockwoods (1:15). I don't usually list O meets as 5, but there really wasn't much reason to slow down on this course. Pretty much blasting the whole way. Wimped out and took the road around on the run-in because my legs were ready to explode. The straight line was objectively faster - I ran it a few minutes later and shaved 40 seconds off the split. Probably would have only been 10-15 seconds faster the way I was feeling at the end, though. map.

Knocked out another section of S-F. A bit frustrating as this area was very detailed (mostly campsites in tiny little clearings) and I know we won't put any controls there. Ah well, good practice.

Testing legs for Team Trials at S-F (1:15). Includes about half an hour of exploratory running to see if one area would be good to use.

Finished up the one section of the 1:10 map of S-F.

Didn't feel like starting another section, so I test ran my first cut at a Red course (middle distance) hard to see if the time was right. Was surprised at the pace, but I'm both mapper and course setter, so it makes sense that I could go a bit faster than normal. I like this course, I don't think it will need much modification.
