Running 8:30 [3] 1.1 mi (7:44 / mi)

Warm up for Orienteering event at Hemlock, around the "prologue" loop of the Hemlock EX2 race.

Running 16:00 [3] 2.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Warm down around the Hemlock loop that has the big hill, actually ran up it but wasn't going very fast.

Orienteering race 12:02 [4] 1.8 km (6:41 / km)

Sprint O at Hemlock , couple of sillies running twice round the first building for starters then going straight through forest from 10 to 11 rather than round the quick path, then not seeing the real No 11 and having to do a short loop!

shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 270

Red middle, took it a little easy but still missed a few of the early controls including a route choice error from 1-2 trying to cross the big path/ravine! Splits probably to come later when I can work out where I was slow.

Battlefield run - easy run and a lot cooler and more pleasant than last week!!

Easy run , in the morning as long run tomorrow is also early, wondering if yesterdays poor interval session was somewhat because it was first thing in morning and had run in the evening yesterday so recovery time was not that long between sessions with my current mileage.

Running (Short Intervals) 36:00 [4] 5.0 mi (7:12 / mi)

More evidence of some loss of fitness over last few weeks as I struggled at 6min/mile pace for 8x400. Last month was getting 12x400 at more like 5:50 pace. Hopefully can restore intervals next week to at least 6x800 and 12x400 respectively.

Easy run between interval days, seem to have attack of nipple rash but not including this as an injury.

Hadn't done these for a while and it showed. Only managed 4x800 instead of the 6x800 I have been doing with 2x400 at the end. Means I need to get back to these because they were definately working.
