Pre run Lake Elmo Red. I had a cold but decided to do it anyway. Fast course, like an 8k sprint. Messed up on my way to 11 and some other smaller mistakes, but ok overall.

Hike to the end of Park Point.

Family hike number 2. The classic hike from the Duluth airport to the far end of the Twin Ports harbor. While it was cold and windy, it was bearable. We saw only one other person running on the beach in what looked like a wet suit.

(We tried this hike last time we were in Duluth and it was too windy and icy. Water was blowing off lake making huge ice dunes and freezing before hitting us in the face. Glad we got it done this time.)

Summit Ely Peak

Family hike on recommendation of O' Steve. A good stop before dropping into Duluth. It's not much of a peak of course, but this day there were low clouds obscuring the top so it was a surreal experience for Minnesota. Luckily it cleared a little while we were at the top. We could barley make out the St. Louis river.

I'm sure this will become a regular stop for us.
