Running race (Time Trial) 17:41 [4] 3.0 km (5:54 / km)

3K Time Trial. I did this at the track while the usual interval workout was going on. So while I wasn't doing the same thing as everyone else, there were people I knew there. I wasn't sure what to expect for this distance, especially since I've had a slight cold and haven't worked so hard the past few weeks. Happy to be under 6min/K but would be happier with 2:15 splits. I'm not sure why my 3rd split is so fast. I don't remember feeling like this lap was any different pace. It's possible I took the 2nd split a second or two late.

Running (Trail Run) 1:02:05 [4] * 4.7 mi (13:13 / mi)

I was in Las Vegas for the weekend, so decided to go out to Red Rock for some training. I did a one-way trail from the Visitor Center out toward the rocks. Harvey met me at the parking lot at the other end. The distance is approximate based on a trail map. It was uphill for all but the final 1k or so. Mostly pretty gentle uphill, but a few places where I was struggling. A combination of out-of-shape, nursing a cold, uphill, and some moderate altitude made this a more difficult run than I anticipated. But it was nice to get off of the track and run someplace new.
