14c slept:9.5 weight:62kg shoes: Saucony-exodus 3.0

Pedrogao longa 1:15 000 2.5m p
Rough start, struggled to read in the circle, def getting brad to buy me a magnifying glass for my compass when he goes to jwoc. Worst. Were from 7 to 10 after that I picked it up a bit. Keeping height helped locating the controls in ditches and along spurs

Orienteering (Portugal) 1:20:00 [2] 6.8 km (11:46 / km)

(Quiaios 1:10 000 2,5m contours) Relocation exercise with Sarah.....nick led us off from 100m away from the start, so we ended up on the edge of the map. 2nd control wasn't very good either. Left off 9 and 10 out.cut the loop short

Orienteering (Portugal) 1:20:00 [4]

(Pedreanes, 1:10, 2.5m contours)
Did 2 loops 3 and 4km loops with one extra smaller loop. 1st loop was the 9-19 loop. only contours to go on, was a lot of fun, really enjoyed it. 1st loop faster than the second loop.
2 PM

Orienteering (Portugal sprint) 18:20 [5] 2.0 km (9:10 / km)

(Costa de Lavos Park 1:4000 2,5m) Sprint training, was a bit distracted in the rain, want to try a magnifying glass. Enjoyed the technicality. From 4-5 should have gone left instead of right.

Orienteering (Portugal) 1:22:00 [4] 6.0 km (13:40 / km)
shoes: Saucony-exodus 3.0

Paredes, 1:7 500, 2.5m contours
Lots of contour detail + small knolls.small distinct thickets which were good attackpoints. We walked to control 1 to check out the mapping style. I did 2-13 cut accross to 15-16, 16-26, 27,28,29,6,12,28,7,30. got into the map, really enjoyed it.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [4] ***** 6.0 km (20:00 / km)
shoes: Saucony-exodus 3.0

Praia da vieira oeste, 1:10 000, 2.5m contours.
terrible session( by far this is the type of map I struggle with).
Greener map with larger contour features than this morning as well as some open sand dune sections with some hectic detail. Hard to read and visualise in places. left out 6-11 ran out of time and had to turn back. It's the change in mapping style that gets me--nb to improve) loving my new shoes tho
