Orienteering race 2:02:20 [5] 12.9 km (9:29 / km)

was aiming for 1h50 Terrible navigation, lucky to break away from Sarah and Nick early on, meant more focus( still need to get over the people distractions thing-so horrible)....I got VERY lucky that I caught up to Peter-he was like a pointer dog relied on him for navigation at control circles....I would go a different route and find him there at the control. Dissapointed because after I caught him my body was tired and getting away seemed impossible. second half of race=bad!I haven't been prepared or training for this kind of distance ever I guess tho, was about 1.5 times over the winner(bradalina) so not too happy-----aiming for the 1.2 from here on out!!!!!!! I WILL get there...training here I come!

Orienteering race (Belfast) 55:00 [5] 6.2 km (8:52 / km)

Loved the forest some easy terrain, esp seeing as I have run there so much.I enjoyed the chance to navigate again although it wasn't my most glorious day out. felt a bit pressured to do well-think it freaked me out before the start of the race. lots of mistakes in the circles, too far left or right, struggled to understand terrain when closer to control, didn't spike any really a lot of wafting around. Sarah finished really close to be, 21 sec behind, so was nervous for sun(dont want repeat of sprint cup).

Need to work on focus in circles or come up with a strategy for ''clicking'' maybe?

1.5 over
