Orienteering race (NavDash) 25:41 [5] ***
22c (injured) shoes: Brooks Beast 13

NavDash at ECU Mt Lawley. Wasn't navigating very fluently but didn't lose too much time anywhere. After #14 my hamstring started hurting again, but I thought that if I just grit my teeth it wouldn't be too bad, just like two weeks ago. Wasn't reading the map well anymore through #15-18, but AP doesn't show any time lost. On the way to #20, my hamstring suddenly said pang, and running on was just impossible. Limped to #21, where I saw D and R out for a walk. We then walked back together, and R got to punch the finish. I've never finished that far down the ranks, but I was only a minute behind Tomas on #19 on target for a third place finish. After some injury advice from AndreM I went straight to a chemist to get an ice pack and compression sleeve.

Orienteering 39:24 [4] *** 8.09 km (4:52 / km)
20c shoes: Brooks Beast 13

Lightpole event without lightpoles at Bold Park. Craig had made it interesting by removing most of the tracks from the map. Thankfully I have run some MetrO events on this map before or it would have been very difficult. Didn't remember how the tracks went in the southwestern side of the map and made one mistake, but it didn't cost me much time. Picked up all controls and still felt strong at the end; had plenty left in the tank. Much better than last week.

I was very happy that the light I ordered on the internet arrived this week. I couldn't have done this with the little light I used before.
