So, heading to Cobar car started shuddering with 145km to go. Stopped - flat tyre. Fixed it and turned the dial to let the jack down - WHOOOSH! the spare tyre collapsed. Waited about half an hour for another car to come along and luckily was able to hitch a lift all the way to Cobar. But the tyre shops are closed till Monday. Still I have the mice and the mosquitos to keep me company in my motel room till then.
