Orienteering race 15:21 [5] 2.7 km (5:41 / km)

Sprint 1 at US Nationals

I had a pretty great race. The running speed was really high again and I was a little tired from yesterday but still felt pretty good. Almost every control was executed perfectly except the 2nd to last control where I stopped at a different control that wasn't mine and almost skipped it, but realized and turned around to punch my control. Lost only 10-20 seconds though.

Orienteering 16:42 [3] 2.9 km (5:46 / km)

Sprint 2 at US Nationals

Another great run where I was basically perfectly clean. The only potential lost time was on the forest routes where I still felt like my route choices were decent and I was also focused on running with confidence and not hesitating.

Got Greg by 1 second too which was great.

Orienteering race 33:56 [5] 5.2 km (6:32 / km)

Middle at US Nationals

Had a pretty good race. Made a mistake on number 6 because of incorrect distance estimation, but otherwise was clean. It was a really fast course and I feel like I was mostly outran (especially by Ryzhkov who blew past me and I only got to ride him for one control)

Great games of Ultimate today. Snagged a lot of points in the first game and got some sick interceptions and overall defense was on point.

Orienteering 1:05:46 [3] 6.4 km (10:17 / km)

Orienteering course at Wanaque Ridge

I was really sloppy, especially in the beginning, but I did a good job making sure I was able to recover from making any bad mistakes. I kept making small 20-30 second mini mistakes that ended up costing me a lot of time in the end. I think the problem was I wasn't really focused on my orienteering, especially in the beginning, and I ended up orienteering kind of subconciously until I got close to the control then I actually began to think about where I was.
