2nd place, turkey trot.
Got a fantastic, relaxed start to control 1. Just got into a nice rhythm pushing to the front at times. Exiting control 5 was the first mistake of the day, didn't see any tapes and went into a big circle to go under the bridge for the compulsory crossing.

That seemed to bring a group of 6? Together on the way to 6 , I was very relaxed still and thought this will just be a nice group run then it opened up within seconds trying to get to the next underpass to the map change control. All of a sudden the group was spread out, I was in second giving chase to Fergus. I was holding pace but not gaining, different routes to 10 I thought my indecisiveness cost me 20-30 seconds, on the way to 11 I caught a glimpse of Fergus again.

Mistake at 12, possibly 30 seconds took maybe 100m gap out to 250+

Kept pushing and Fergus made a mistake towards 15 and I was starting to make good ground on him for once. Tried a different creek crossing exiting 15 as a last resort to try and get in front but it didn't work and just put myself into some thickish green.

All up good solid run
