Orienteering long 1:24:00 [5]

Well so close, had another good run today! Well at least to control 11. Straight into number 1, just to the north for control 2, but adjusted quickly. Stopped just before 3 took a little time to work out what was in front of me, run another 50m straight into the control, nice steady run up the hill towards 4 expecting Andre to catch up, stopped down the hill had drifted right, then straight into the control. 5 same again stopped just before the control, work out the detail then straight in. 6 run walk run walk up the hill, no need to stop this time straight to the control, 7 the same but starting to fatigue got some water into me. Then pushed the pace taking the longer road option, stopped just before the control again and straight in. Same for 9 and 10. Ten I had to stop a couple of times coming into the control. Eleven down the hill hit the fence, hit the big boulders to the south of the control, then straight in. Now the messy part.....

Orienteering race 20:48 [5]

Good controlled start, onto the map quickly and didnt push the pace until about control 3, small time losses at 6 and 8. Felt really strong through 8 till 12, on the way to 13 I felt the legs tiring but still running okay. Lost time at control 18. Small time loss at 19, but then good solid finish. Happy with the result today.

Orienteering 13:06 [4]

Fairly good clean run, less intensity than the long but not by much. Was not looking at the map enough between 1 to 4, and then put the map away from 4 till control 9. Probably took the longer route option to 10. Then some nice shorter legs from 11 till the finish.
