Well I stuffed this race up big time.
Raced well for the first 15 minutes. was hiding at the back, watching the breakaways and making sure who was going up the road. at 15 mins two riders got away and then everyone just stopped and looked at each other. for the next lap the pace kept steady with the breakaway still holding a gap, maybe even increasing. At about 20 mins i got a bit worried and came to the front unfortunately only being helped by two other riders. brought them back at 28 mins. Took 8 mins to close a gap of about 300m!
I quickly went to midfield. Got the 2 laps (3km a lap) sign. a grade passed then stalled right in front of us. someone attacked hard up the climb i eventually got on his wheel and then we had four in the break away we worked well together but im sure a grade had a helping hand in bringing back the pack as they caught us with 1km to go. i stayed at the front and accelerated out of the final turn which was way to early got rounded up with 150m to go. was too strong for this field and didnt place.
