Swimming race 21:21 [5] 1.5 km (14:14 / km)

Not bad result. Third out of the water. Felt comfortable behind tagging along but soon as i tried to come around and pass it was too much.

Time includes transition from entering bike compound until bike was racked on return. Rode with dave and luke, I was doing most of the work at the front. at 18km dave made a huge surge took me a km to close the gap.
then at 21km dave sat up, luke wasnt prepared to roll through and i had no option but to keep pushing knowing my run is very poor at the moment. I managed to drop them here. Second quickest bike time for the day. First of the bike.

Ok this is where i can make the biggest difference between now and adelaide. I hope i can bring this down to 38 mins by the end of the season.
Very surprised to hang on to third. Thanks to good swim, bike.

Passed by matt hennessey with 1km left in the run. ran too slow for the first 2.5km until i realised i was losing too much ground. fix my run....
total time 1:04:10

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)

Run back over the course, till the last competitor (trent) ran back with trent to the finish line.

Ride with Paul from wattle grove to M7 bike bath to M2 and return.
Paul had enough with about 20km, rode on my wheel for the majority from there on. I was feeling the pinch too but rode through the pain and just made sure i was spinning.

Nice easy swim although the pool was mighty cold.

Running race 5:30 [4] 1.5 km (3:40 / km)

For once I started this race slow. I knew I wouldnt defend my title this year. But was in last place after 400m, kept a good constant pace and finished the run in good shape.

Swimming race 4:30 [5] 0.3 km (15:00 / km)

Got hooking soon as i jumped in made up about 5 positions in the first 50m and had got too second by the 170m mark. Kept pushing hard to increase my lead.

Running race 5:30 [5] 1.5 km (3:40 / km)

Good solid run. Went onto the run in second. Passed by another runner with 400m to go. then sprinted the last 100m to grab back second.

1.5km warm up.
3km cool down.
