This was ment to be long run day. Spent most of the day watching bathurst. Felt ordinary for the first half of the run.

Saturday Oct 6, 2007 #

Running race 41:55 [5] 10.0 km (4:12 / km)

Sydney Striders monthly 10km race. Ok got up late, decided that I could still make it. Speeding all the way. Make the start line with 1min to spare.
No warm up.
First 1km good with 40min pacer, second km pick it up, spent by the end of second km. End of 3rd km 40min pacer goes by. Forced to back off pace. Go through 5km at 20:45. By 6km I have recovered and start holding a good pace. Then at 7km I go for it. I make up several places. By the finish I still had something left. Not much. Ok time was devestating as I wanted to go 40 flat. I didnt race well. My second 5km of 21:10 is a good sign. If I pace myself better next time I will get 40:00. I think im about 40:30 runner at the moment.

On another note Club races in Sydney are some of the best races. As a non member this race cost $15, members - $5. For a goood course, measured course, quality field (they recommend to run you should run 10k - 60 min as the slowest), great feed afterwards.

Cams, boots, fins.
500m warm up individual kicking on back.
1km swim with partner. (philipp)
Made the 1000m this time. Time 32mins.

Cycling 24:50 [3] 10.6 km (2:21 / km)

Ride from the pool to work.

Running 55:45 [1] 9.18 km (6:04 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel 2120 Red01

Lunch time run. Work - Kelloggs - Bonnie Doon Golf Club back via the other Golf Club - Work.
This was definetly a recovery run. Very Slow.

Cycling 52:16 [2] 21.8 km (2:24 / km)

Ride to work to cent park, three laps.

Thursday Oct 4, 2007 #

Cycling 23:42 [2] 9.28 km (2:33 / km)

Ride from home to work.

Running 53:00 [3] 4.0 km (13:15 / km)

Run from Wanda Beach surf Club to Dunes.
4 reps of hill from lake.
3 reps of long hill.
2 reps of the steep hill.
Run Back to Wanda Beach.

Legs hurt.

Cycling 1:09:58 [3] 29.66 km (2:22 / km)

Same ride as yest arvo. Work to Cent park five laps. Finished by 530. Training well at the moment.

Wednesday Oct 3, 2007 #

Work - Along Botany St to Regent St (Redfern Station) and return. Out in 46 mins. Good to have training partner make's life so much easier.

Cycling 23:15 [1] 9.22 km (2:31 / km)

Ride from home to Work. So wanted to sleep in after having the last five days of work.

Cycling 1:10:42 [2] 29.45 km (2:24 / km)

Ride from work into Centennial for five laps on perkins bike.
