Running warm up/down 12:16 [2]

Warm up run.

Well another good day. Used a lot of track options, Spot on with 1,2 then track option to 3 before heading in bush, then hit all short legs 4,5,6. Then track to 7, I put a minute onto those who went straight out of 8 for the track to 9 while heading bush passing control 2 on my way to 9 went a little of bearing but hit track regrouped back in. Lost no more than a minute. Track option to 10(track was the only option) I was spent by the time I got here and I was not pushing hard but just feeling the climb and heat. Caught one of the juniors here at ten, nice and slow through short legs 11,12 and 13. Got myself in the right spot for 13 but couldnt see control over bare rock tell myself I was in right spot, run further down pass the control even though i was five metres from the control turned my head up the creek there it is. Control description was gully but control was in creek. 14 clean, 15 must of run past the control again anyway was pleased with my skill to stop and work out where i was then hit the control. 16, 17, 18 good lost 30 secs at 19, 20 good, threw up after getting to the track out of 20. threw up for 1-2 mins bfore running track(500m) to 21 then 150m to finish.

Pleasing to be navigating well. Small mistakes towards end of course when i was getting fatigued.

Was good day today, apart from seeing double and making another control site out of the edge of a cliff and the rounded part of number one on control 13. Lost a little time at 8,9, 13(3 mins). Rather happy with this run, need some orienteering shoes.

Usual work run along the park. Was strecthing all night last night and legs are still tight from the ultra marathon last week.

1.5km warm up from coogee car park to stairs.
5 reps of stairs plus push ups at the bottom - 10 for each person that walked.
1.5km cool down.

This session should have hurt more.
