Annual group Chalet run/Blue Mountain ascent, with menzies, Dr. PBV and Rachel.
Up the Craigleith Club snowshoe switchbacks, then a loop of Loree Woods and return down the Northwest Passage. Got to show Dr. PBV the parts of the SSR course he's never been to.
Amazing how different the area seems from Winter to Spring. Awesome at both times.

The posse. Dr. PBV was doing one of his weird interval spurts at the time and getting ahead of the group. What a jerk.

Quick run stop with Dr. PBV on the way up to the Chalet for the long weekend. He dropped me off where the Bruce crosses #10 side road and I ran south. He drove around to Highway 89 and ran north, using a side trail to make it loop through Boyne Valley Provincial Park.
Some nice stuff right at the beginning for me, but the Dr. got the short end of the stick - the park itself wasn't super interesting.
We both bonked pretty hard at the end - some poor dining choices the night before got the best of us.

Last real hard run of a significant section of the SS loop before the race next weekend. Warmed up all the way down Martins Road, turned and did the final section of the course at tempo, or possibly tempo+.
Trying to take advantage of the heat, though it's still pretty cool in the shade of the valley. Wasn't quite the easy effort of last Saturdays out of the box run, but was pushing it a bit harder by the look of things (26 min Headwater loop vs 31 mins!).
Feeling quietly confident that a sub-90 is in the cards for next weekend, by how much will depend more now on external stuff - mainly heat & trail conditions. Fingers crossed that the pollen count stays low over the week.

4 x racing the kids in the ARK route choice course. Some of those kids really wanted to beat me - fortunately my ego could handle it when they did.
Fun ARK night, amazing weather.

BT between FIfty and McNeilly Rd.
Not super jazzed about this section of trail between Grimsby and Hamilton, it seems to be chew you up and spit you out technical and undulating, #toorugged for most. But in small amounts like this it's OK for an easy one, especially when the forest is looking as good as it can be right now.

Enjoyable smt with Trav and special guest Dr. CP. Perfect temps for running and the valley has that amazing green glow at the moment.
Ball of my foot has been giving me some grief this week, so opted for the Kinvara's. Problem solved.
