Road Ride 2:30:00 [3] 51.0 km (2:56 / km) +1320m 2:36 / km

After I awoke yesterday and endured a full on t-spine spasm for the rest of the day, I slowly felt better today. I wish back spasms on no one..ugh. In any case, getting moving always seems to be a good cure so off to Cypress Bowl I went. Crossing the Capilano watershed is the biggest obstacle and so I did a little bit of trail riding on my road bike. The climb up Cypress itself is very steady. I could use a few more hairpin turns and steep bits personally. In any case, it's a solid effort to get to the top. A young kid caught up to me on the way back, we chatted for a bit, he told me he was out on 'Dad's' bike (a beautiful Colnago) and didn't usual road bike, and proceeded to absolutely smoke me on the next punchy climb. Little %^&*er... Now I know how FB felt at LR&S all those years ago! Baaaazingo!

Trail Run 1:25:00 [2] +625m
shoes: S-LAB WINGS 7 SG

Ran from Deep Cove for the first time on the Seymour trails. I have a lot more to discover there. Gorgeous day outside...this Easter weekend has been stellar for that.

Trek 1:45:00 [2] +647m
shoes: S-LAB WINGS 7 SG

I had a sunny day, a window of time, and an enthusiastic trekking partner...EDawg. Into the pack he went and we made our way up Grouse via a rarely used yet blazed track to the east of BCMC. I decided to turn around near the top as there was a bit of snow and EDawg's hands and feet were a little too cold. We took in the view and made our descent back to the car. He's quite the conversationalist when he wants to be, yapping "Da Da" in my ear over and over.
