Orienteering 24:00 [4] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Glory leg at the sprint relays. Fantastic courses by Tim - could not switch off for one second (which unfortunately I did a couple of times). Luckily OJ and AS had given me a big cushion.

The 1:3000 scale helped to get my eye in perfectly for next week.

Easy run up Rivelin. Was not prepared for how cold it was going to be and never really warmed up. Felt shocking the whole way round but needed to get out to "wear in" (well at least getting them muddy) some new shoes for the weekend.

Caught up with a OJ for a long overdue run (it has been months). Talked training, life and dragon's back. All good. Weather and conversation was so good that I forgot how much it had rained during the day until we got to rivelin valley which was in a state of super spate. Path was totally flooded in places.

Got home to realise I had left my keys at work; so had to trudge back up the hill and home again. Doh.

Rest day, more prep for the Dragon's Back including an interview with Richard Heap who will be filming the race. It is all starting to feel very "real" now and it is slowly starting to sink in what I have committed for......
