Running warm up/down 26:00 [3] 3.25 mi (8:00 / mi)

Run around Woolaton park. Started off very unmotivated but once I got going I was kinda looking forward to orienteering...

Orienteering race 30:17 [5] 4.79 mi (6:19 / mi)

Long course at Woolaton. Good fun - my aim was to run and orienteer smoothly which I kinda did. Things changed once I spotted Ant and had a good tussle trying to catch him up. Just managed to get past on the way to the last control. Just held him off in the sprint. Phew.
1 PM

Running 10 [1] 0.9 mi (11 / mi)

Easy warm down with Ant and Ben (luckily Ben was taking it easy on us)....interesting fact about Woolaton it was used as the external setting for Wayne Manor in the new Batman film...holy fact Batman.

8 AM

Running 1:20:00 [2] 10.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Run to park run with OJ and then back home with Mike. Very sociable.
9 AM

Running 15:55 [5] 3.1 mi (5:08 / mi)

Park run. Good Olympic inspired crowd and I had a nice tussle with Armand. I was leading going into the the mini loop but Armand turned on the after burners and I had no response. Lost my unbeaten record at park run now but enjoyed the race.
6 PM

Running 38:00 [1] 4.3 mi (8:50 / mi)

Very easy run up Rivelin - to bridge and then up field and back along the road. Felt stiff and slow; I bet if Cav had won I would have been feeling spritely - oh well.

Friday Jul 27, 2012 #

Running 42:00 [3] 6.2 mi (6:46 / mi)

Easy run round Rivelin, another lovely morning.

Thursday Jul 26, 2012 #

Note

Have enjoyed getting back into do some solid runs in the morning - I have decided that this is going to be the best strategy to try and survive the Olympics as there wont be any events going on between 6.00 and 9.00!
6 AM

Running 1:48:00 [2] 14.7 mi (7:21 / mi)

Another early start. This time wanted to get a longer run in so did Damflask, Agden and then another loop of Damflask. Running more fluidly but left calf nipping a bit.

Listened to a couple of podcasts and enjoyed being out.

Wednesday Jul 25, 2012 #

6 AM

Running 1:20:00 [2] 11.0 mi (7:16 / mi)

Damflask and then on to work. I know it is not exciting but it is the best route for me to run some decent mileage before picking my bag up and heading to work. Another nice morning and I am enjoying meeting a number of Damflask regulars who appear to powerwalk / jog round each morning at the same time.
5 PM

Running 24:00 [1] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Easy run home.

Tuesday Jul 24, 2012 #

6 AM

Running 1:22:00 [2] 11.0 mi (7:27 / mi)

Damflask + run to work. Feeling a bit better today - but right hamstring and calf tight.

Gorgeous morning and really enjoyed myself.
6 PM

Running 18:00 [1] 2.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Easy run home, feeling better but obviously still a bit tight as Andy Challenger (who caught me up on the way to Walkley said I was running a bit funny. Good to see AC back in action again.

Monday Jul 23, 2012 #

7 AM

Running 1:05:00 [2] 9.0 mi (7:13 / mi)

Easy run round Damflask. Quads still not talking to me.
6 PM

Running 18:00 [1] 2.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Shortest way home. Running very gingerly.
