Run from Heatherdene to Winhill and Losehill and then back again. Kept the hills "honest" on the way up and pushed on during the descents. Took it steady on the flat through the edge of Hope.
Fun morning. Ran to park run where I paced a friend from work to a 19.00 pb, well actually I think he did 19.02 because on the last 30 meters or so he looked at his watch twice.....oh well at least he got a pb. Then went on to bingham to do 8 x 1 minute hills and then ended at Avis to collect a hire car.

Cliffhanger. 3 x sprints, 2 qualifiers and the final. Really good fun event. Orienteering was generally ok but I was a bit slow / hesitant on occasion. Lost time in the final because I could not work out my way through the gaffles - same thing happened last time I ran.
Good victory for Nails, he want both qualifiers too!

Warming up / down and control collecting. Tired by the end.
Feeling much better today - and was pleased to have worked to a state of exercise induced torpor by the end of the day. I have missed it.
Binned plans for a long run as still not feeling great. My preparations were not helped but being stuck in a long, hot and stuffy meeting for 4 hours all afternoon.
Decided to go for an easy run and do some drills to try and loosen my back and inject a bit of form into my running.
Coach Clare gave me a bit of a talking to when I got home, words / phrases included "being ill, impatient, recovery, the weekend" all seemed to make sense and take me out of my mardiness.
Run to see Kim and back to work. Back was mobile which was good, but still sore in specific points to touch and "nips" when I run. Hopefully just bruising that still needs to settle down.

Hilly run. Did not want to do a session but wanted to do something a bit tougher in my build up to perfect health. Did a variation on OJ's "hilly" run - from work to home then up Stannington at a good pace (took 11 mins to get to top) and then up and down Riv Valley pushing on the hills and keeping the descents and flat bits steady. Legs felt tired but enjoyed doing something more progressive then just a steady run.
