Steadyish run out to Damflask. Feeling flat and right hand hammy was tight. Enjoyable despite my lethargy. Caught Clare on her way back from her long run.
Running warm up/down 25:00 [1] 2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
Warm up with Neil and down with Neil and Lizzy.

Running race 48:50 [5] 7.94 mi (6:09 / mi)
Intercounties: Shining Tor - 4th. Felt very flat before I started and thought that all my racing (and last week's half) and a stressful week at work had caught up with me.
However, my legs felt quite light once I had changed into my racing shoes and I was committed to give it my all. Started steady and was about 8th at the end of the road section. Made my way up to 6th at the top of Shining Tor.
Picked off a couple of runners on the descent and then the rest of the race was just about trying to keep it all together. Good crowd support and got a great cheer from Clare's dad near the final climb and it kept me focussed on keeping relaxed.
Delighted with 4th (I was hoping for a top 10) and the closest I am likely to come to Mssrs Vernon and Jones.
Great running from Rob L for 10th (so he should have been in the Yorkshire team). Yorkshire came 2nd team. (Another) Amazing run from Lizzie.
Run to the garage to pick up the car - started first time ironically - but clutch kept giving out which made the drive to Hillsborough interest.
Ran from Hillsborough to Middlewood Park and joined in with the first part of the hallamshire session - 5 minutes, then 1 x figure of 8 loop and then half a figure of 8 to finish.
Easy plod from home, exploring some additional paths up the side of Rivelin Valley. Wanted to keep the run hilly but easy. Worked my way over to the top of the Coppice track, down this and then back down Riv Valley. Nice day for it.
