Running 3:45:00 [2] 18.3 mi (12:18 / mi)

A longer run than intended from Ambleside. Plan was to do the Fairfield Horseshoe and then meet up with the family Squire for lunch. It was glorious on the tops, with compacted snow. However, the cloud came down near the top and managed to get the wrong ridge and headed down to Paterdale by mistake. A long trot back from there on little tracks with deep slushy snow. Was pretty sure I was going wrong half way along the ridge so it was not a complete surprise but had some food with me and was happy for an adventure.

Tired by the end.

Running 2:15:00 [2] 19.0 km (7:06 / km)

Great sociable jaunt with OJ and Bendover, Win Hill, Hagg Side, up to Derwent Edge (which was a slog in the slush) and back down to Ladybower. Very icey, but the peaks looked majestic.

Nearly lost part of my scrotum on a barbed wire fence but was skilfully rescued by both Ben and OJ. Thanks boys..
5 PM

Running 38:00 [1] 5.2 mi (7:18 / mi)

Very easy early evening jaunt.

Running 38:00 [2] 4.8 mi (7:55 / mi)

Easy run to work. Late again. Couldn't face a lap of T'Flask and so gave myself a birthday present of a little jaunt into work. Plan was to run home but I got persuaded to go to the pub instead.

Never mind ASC's limit of 7 pints I was pretty pissed after 3!

8 AM

Running 20:00 [2] 2.5 mi (8:00 / mi)

Run to work. Was late so could not manage to squeeze 3 miles in.
4 PM

Running 54:00 [2] 6.9 mi (7:50 / mi)

Team building afternoon finished early so ran an extended loop home. Very very cold out and it was trying to snow. Ran from Endcliffe student village out past Endcliffe park and then joined my usual 5 mile route home.
6 PM

Running 1:32:00 intensity: (26:00 @2) + (1:06:00 @4) 13.5 mi (6:49 / mi)

Three stands race from Tim's house. Ran first 1/2 with OJ (to Hallam and then Bramell lane). OJ was pulling away on the hill past the top of West street. We then went our separate ways to Hillsborough, but rejoined at the tip of the park on the way back to Tim's. Pace ramped up a bit going up the hill and I was certainly flagging by the time we finished. Nice victory from Nails - first person to beat Rob Little so far in Tim's series of races.

Run to Tim's and home after. Had home cooked pizza for tea mmm.

Running 24:00 [2] 3.2 mi (7:30 / mi)

Run to work. Feeling tired.
5 PM

Running 1:25:00 [2] 10.4 mi (8:10 / mi)

Hilly run home with OJ on the roads. Great to have some company which made the run almost fun. Legs actually feeling a bit better by the end. We both remarked about how long it took to run down Stannington road, relative to how long it takes to run to the top from rivelin valley.

6 AM

Running 38:00 [2] 4.9 mi (7:45 / mi)

Early morning run. Ran out to Kelham island and back. It was quiet out so mainly ran in the roads. Not the most exciting of runs that I have done. Saw Alex out looking sprightly.
6 PM

Running 1:01:00 intensity: (26:00 @2) + (35:00 @4) 9.2 mi (6:38 / mi)

Run home then 6 miles up and down Rivelin road. The idea was to run tempo but still feeling flat so it was more like a steady effort.
