Race from Malham. Great route including the Cove (top and bottom) and Gordale Waterfall (in full spate). Pete was convinced the fell race was a bit too short so we added on an extra mile and a bit - was paying for it by the end but it made a good handicap race. Just managed to catch up Mr Tett at the end.
Early morning run with OJ. Lovely pinkish sun rise.

Long run with OJ and Nails out to Pen-y-ghent and then back via Fountain Fell. Really enjoyable - felt quite festive on the tops as it started to snow.
Wrekin Choc-o-run on the Long Mynd. Got off to a delayed start as I realised that I had left my shoes at Clare's parents in the car park. Charlie very kindly came out to rescue me.
Cold on the tops in sleet and hail but I enjoyed myself none the less. Couldn't find the chocolate stash at the end (hidden in a tree trunk) which was a bit of disappointment after nearly two hours of effort - really fancied some chocolate.
Easy long run with Wrekin athletics club from Newcastle. Good social fun - the club welcomed Clare, Bendover and I even though we didn't know many people. The run itself was very stop-start but that was fine by me as I was tired after two races.
Shrewsbury 5k. Ran down from Clare's parents to take part in the race which was being timed by her parents. Sluggish would be a flattering discription for how I felt but it was good to grind it out (did 1617).
An early morning start meant that we could make the Devil's chair dash - a race up and down the Stiperstones. Still fighting off a cold I was pleased with how the race turned out - managed to hold on to third place (and win a coveted pottery mug). Race was won by a strong running Richard Roberts with Tim Davies in second. I was pleased to hold my own in such strong company.
