I downloaded this podcast on Friday with Chris Carmichael (elite Ozzie triathlete who at 38 is trying to make it into the Olympic team having won Iron Man world champs in the last few years).

I would definitely recommend it to anyone interesting in gaining an insight into what sets the world's best apart from everyone else and elite "gamesmanship" in general.
Spends a lot of time talking about how psychologically and physically strong the Brownlee brothers are and how their reputation affects the other teams. It made me reflect a bit on Thierry's reputation - I bet 99% of world champs competitors had already given up on the prospect of winning before they started the race.
Bored OJ about this on Saturday but I think it is worth a listen.
