Post Euro Marathon and OCAD run with GG around Dam Flask. Finished with 8 x 10 sec sprints.

Run down to Endcliffe and back.

Sheffield Park Run. Having seen that this had just started going we thought that we go down to see what it was all about. The course was pretty good but you certainly felt the hill on the way out to the far end of the park (2 laps basically running from one end of the park to the other). Think it will be useful to do this on a fairly regular basis to check fitness.

The time is now set for everyone else to come and peck away at it (it would be good if all the HHs guys tried to lower this as much as possible over the next 12 months).

Run down to Hallamshire and then warm down afterwards with GG and Andy.

Fast reps with the HHs at Myers Grove. Good to be doing a session in a group again and it was made all the for a lively as GG, Jason and Andy T were all running well. Session was short and sharp 2 x 3 reps (roughly 2 min efforts with similar recovery).

Checking out routes with Clare for the Sprint race in September. Lots of jogging, walking around and scratching of heads. Oh well we narrowed our possibilities down.

Run / stumble home. Had to pretty much walk down Walkley Bank. Don't think my legs (quads / hamstrings) have ever been so sore. Watched the girls (and G man) do drills while I did a few limp stretches.

Through my pain I was reminded of a story Jamie Stevenson told me about - a runner had gone down to the gym for the first time and enthusiastically joined in on some heavy squats and had to phone in sick the next day as he couldn't walk down the stairs of his house.
