Running 25:00 [3] 3.0 mi (8:20 / mi)

Warm up - bit by myself and half with OJ. Getting slowly more nervous. Legs feeling pretty sluggish.

Orienteering 35:00 [4] 7.5 km (4:40 / km)

BOC relay championships. Got super sized to the first team on account of OJ's knee still not being quite right. Following great runs from Neil and Nick went out with a comfortable lead. Felt scrappy for most of the course, not settling down into a rhythm - no big misses per se but kept having to double check myself and didn't spike any of the controls.

Really chuffed with the victory - it was my first BOC champs. Lots of prizes overall for SYO - Clare, with a 2nd and 3rd had a great weekend, but not as good as Nick who got two firsts.

Shame OJ's knee was not up to racing fully.

Realised that I had not reached my target for the week on the way home. Decided to take a take a steady run from the Candy's to home, via Broome Hill. Legs felt surprisingly good.

Orienteering 1:01:00 [5] 13.0 km (4:42 / km)

UK Cup course. Scrappy on the way to one and then worked hard for the next few and then missed. Never really got on top of it again after this. Impressed by the fast running juniors.

Evening run from the B&B along the sea front near Bournemouth.

Run to the gym. Legs feeling a bit more lively.

gym session with OJ. Early start meant I was struggling for a bit.

Nice run out up Porter Valley then down Limb Valley - really muddy.

Run to work and home again. Pretty tired after yesterday's effort. 3 miles in and back.

Running 2:18:00 intensity: (54:30 @2) + (30:45 @3) + (29:45 @4) + (23:00 @5) 22.0 mi (6:16 / mi)

Uninspiring long run. From work dumped bag and then straight out to Rotherham, turned round and ran back again. Got 1 mile past Rotherham high street (dark and deserted) before having to come back again. Split the run into 6 bits. 2 miles warm up (from work), 5 miles @ 6.30 pace, 5@6.15, 5@6.00, 4@5.45, 1 mile w/d. Nice tail wind on the way out, but was tough on the way back. Pleased to knock this out and pretty tired by the end. Left hammy still a bit sore but eased up during the run.

Run to work and then home again after the gym session.

Session at the gym. Really didn't feel like this beforehand but slowly got into it. The gym was rammed and had to fight to get on the squat bar.

Run to work, and then back again. Left hamstring was really sore.
