Leg 6 of the High Peak relay. Dreary day. Back was sore before started but managed to thrash it out.

Run from home to the gym in the pouring rain - nice.

Gym stuff with Candyman. Much less crowded than Monday but can see that a 7.30 start time is going to get tough over the coming weeks. Candyman even muted the idea of an earlier start for a Monday session which would be ridiculously painful.

Note

It is now the 27th day after the marathon. According to good scientific folklore my body should be fully recovered (using the adage of 1 days recovery for each mile raced). Will continue to take it easier in the next few weeks but will start to put in a few more miles.

Enjoyed my break - but looking forward to getting into some kind of routine again.

Longer run from work - felt good to be out, but it was a struggle to convince myself that it was a good idea.

Run from work up Porter Valley and then back again - tried to keep up a decentish pace.

Climbing with Nails, Candyman and Candywoman. Good fun - my siemian climbing skills seem to have deserted me following a 3 year lay off. Managed to fumble my way up a number of climbs - got a 6A but failed on two different 6A+s - much to everyone's amusement.

Run home from gym via the Candy's, over Crookes and then home.

Gym session with Gareth and then Kelly. Kept it relatively light so as not to kill myself. Did some squats, leg push and some other stuff. My technique was lacking.
