Pilates and then squats. Instructor took it a bit easier on us today - which was a relief.

A race around Melbourne Zoo. Quite fun but hard work. The route was 7.2 k and was 2 laps. Half of each lap was around the zoo and then half inside. The route inside the zoo was pretty cool with lots of ups and downs, twists and turns and animals to look at.
First lap was mostly uneventful, but the second got a bit comical as we caught up with tail runners from the first lap. The pavements inside the zoo were quite narrow and there was very little opportunity to pass people. Lots of runners were stopping to take selfies with the backdrop of some of the animals, and there was a near crash where someone stopped dead to stop and stare at a chimpanze. This put a stop to hard racing but made the end of the run a lot more fun!
Not sure exactly where I ended up (5th?) but felt that I put in a solid effort. Probably started off a bit too enthusiastically but I would probably do the same again.
Time and distance also include the (slow) run home.
