Orienteering race (Aust Relay Champs) 55:30 [5] 8.1 km (6:51 / km)

Ran well up until the first spectator control, but then got dropped by the pack as I had a slightly longer split. Never even looked like catching back up, and the heavy legs didn't help much either. Really struggled in the last 2km.

Orienteering race (Aus Champs) 1:43:00 [5] 13.2 km (7:48 / km)

Best run of the week. Strange route to number 1, but then got into it and ran cleanly until I lost time at number 6. Lost some more time at number 9, and was running pretty well for the rest of the course. Stuffed up number 24, and 25, but felt like I still had a bit left in me at the end, which doesn't happen much in classic races!

Orienteering race (Western Plains 2) 31:43 [5] 4.5 km (7:03 / km)

Felt much better today, and I could actually run. Lost time on number 3 and Lee caught me. Lost a lot of time at number 6. Kept running away from Lee and the pack from then on, but small mistakes and hesitation let them catch up ground, and I was never able to drop them.

Orienteering race (Western Plains 1) 1:16:03 [5] 8.1 km (9:23 / km)

Struggled today. Lost some time around number 5, poor route choice to number 8, and wasn't feeling that strong physically. Made some errors around controls 12 and 13, but totally blew it on number 18, wasting probably close to 8 minutes searching the hillside miles above the control.

Orienteering race (Dubbo Dash) 15:34 [4] 2.7 km (5:46 / km)

Wasn't really looking foward to this race much, but the mass start made it a much better race than it would have been (it almost made orienteering a contact sport). Missed the control under the bridge which I had to go back for, which cost me a couple of places.

Event: JWOC 2007

Orienteering race (NSW Champs) 1:53:15 [5] 14.4 km (7:52 / km)

Started off slowly, but started to get into it until I lost a sinificant amount of time at number 9 (at least 7 minutes). Ran very well after this, but faded towards the end (after about number 24).
