Orienteering race 54:45 [3] *** 4.92 mi (11:08 / mi) +274m 9:29 / mi
spiked:11/17c shoes: INOV8 Mudroc 290

blue mt, red course
caught boris to no. 1 and he followed me to no.12
decided to take longer trail route to 13 to allow him to pass me, it worked and I did not see him the rest of the race. I even think he skipped 14 and punched the box with a random control. it was easy to cheat as only half the flags had punches. then he blocked my access to the last flag and I lost about 41 seconds. rough day.

bike (trail) 1:24:43 [3] 6.66 mi (4.7 mph) +390m
shoes: Shimano M122.1

ride with tony on the race course. less than 10 minutes in and a f'n dog bites my ankle. worst bite I have had. blood/bruising. typical reaction from the owner - "never done that before". felt like punching him in the head, but then he is just a dog. Tony pointed out later that I did insult him by ridiculing the orange vest he was sporting. I guess I deserved it.

running (trail) 1:30:00 [1] 4.0 mi (22:30 / mi)

easy hike with pgb and emb around hsp

sports intervals (hockey) 1:00:00 [5]
shoes: Bauer Vapor 2007

skates sharpened today. probably will not make a difference in my maneuvering.

ps. scored a goal, assisted on another and was a plus 3 for the night. too bad we lost 4-3. no difference in my skating - which is more or less out of control, but big difference in my scoring.
I will have to sharpen them again next week to test this theory.
