Event: Nav-Stock

Orienteering race 1:10:56 [3] ***

Good times at the NavStock Night-O. Made some mistakes at the begining, but once I got my groove on everything went pretty smoothly. Leanimal ran with me in her little short running shorts. It was actually part of my plan to encourage her into the woods and lead her into the thickest brambles and raspberry bushes I could find to try and sabotage her legs with for the upcoming Extreme. I don't think it worked.

Running hills 20:00 [5]

10 X 2min hills with decent. Not a long hill, but steep! And especially hard with the beans on my back.

Running 50:00 [2]

Good run out to my hill in Erindale Park. Wore a pack loaded with cans of kidney beans, chick peas and stag chili. You never know when you'll have a snack attack!

Running 35:00 [2]

Trails around Mac with Bob. Even threw in a little bushwhack section for some extra carnage. I was trying to emulate FB and his tough-guy exterior so I dragged Bob through a little short cut over to another trail. We encountered some raspberry bushes and lots those spikey vines that reach out and grab you and I managed to get my sleeveless arms scratched up a bit. Threw my shoulder into one and managed to get a good snag. Even drew a little blood. The scratch might even be bit enough for a scab. Rarrrr!!

Note

More studying today....I'm sure this is all good prep for Extreme. Either my muscles will be well rested, or I'll at least be able to administer some fantastic cardiorespiratory physiotherapy while out on the course. Maybe if my team's lucky it'll even be a little of both.
