After seeing off Charlie, walked to meet Sarah, Leslie & Forrest in Balboa Park. They had collected many bags of orange fungus. Played with Forrest for some time as the foraging continued.

Classic Brown at Anza Borrego. This course was a bad mistake for Brown runners. Too dangerous with steep impassable cliffs all the way. On the way to control 2 was a canyon with steep sides, that looked to me too dangerous to cross. I walked around for awhile trying to find a feasible crossing and at one point started down. Caught myself from free falling and climbed back up. Looking ahead on the map was frightening. So I walked back to the start.

After walking back to the start, pick up a red mapped did the first 4 controls of the red course. This was a well set course. Lots of subtle features. Too bad this was not the Brown Course.

5K Goat race at Anza Borrego. Started about 6 minutes after the mass start. This was good and made the course more interesting for me. Although I lost the following advantage and my results showed it. Made about a three minute error on #3, after that no significant time lost. Walked the entire course. Went very slowly up the steep waterfall at #6.
