Strength Training 30:00 [3]

shoulder and legs. Thought I would go to the new Y and do a spin class - no luck so I tried yoga - nope no class either so I went for some weights

Kayaking (Canoe) 1:09:00 [3] 6.0 mi (11:30 / mi)

Matt and i went out for a time trail. We did the wollochet loop. 3 miles out and back. we went out with wooden canoe paddles and came back with our kayak paddles.

Splits?
35:30
33:30

I was a bit dissapointing that we weren't faster with the kayak paddles. in fact with all the zigzaging with the wooden paddles, it was probably an even average speed

Kayaking (Canoe) 50:39 [3] 4.0 mi (12:40 / mi)

hayes and i got out to train for nationals. loop around long lake. We both used crappy wooden canoe paddles.

Kayaking (Canoe) 46:17 [3] 4.0 mi (11:34 / mi)

second loop Matt had kayak paddle in front. felt more fluid and we were warmed up but definitely faster.

bike (road) 2:54:00 [4] 51.5 mi (3:23 / mi) +2461ft 3:14 / mi

Went out with the old town bike team. Figure I need some pushing instead of just riding by myself. Quite a variety of people from old and overweight to young and fit. It was supposed to be a meet the team easy ride but when the easy riders went home the hard work began. I worked my arse off on that singlespeed trying to keep up and when it was my turn to pull I just about blew a cork. I didn't think it was possible to spin at 200rpm

I spin out at about 21-22 mph. There were less hills on there ropute (above is a guess) but the average speed was 18mph which is a gut buster for me on a SS.

bike (mountain) 4:15:52 [3] 50.5 km (5:04 / km) +4347ft 4:29 / km
slept:8.0

Great day. Went out to collect the last flags from the race. Flags were in the north DNR land. i did a loop and ended at the far north so i took the road up to Washington pass. I didn't have a map but knew there was a road that connected from there to just below the Mt. Elinor trailhead. not knowing exactly where to go, i went up until it started going down. There was a road there going the right general direction. i to it and it Y'ed. Took the left and sure enough it ended about ten miles later at the Elinor road but much lower than the right road. This seemed like an old road that was recommissioned. i had hoped to hook up with the trail and ride down some sweet singletrack but I was out of time. i had hoped to get in at least 5k of climb but it was good to finish early otherwise I wouldn't have finished the paddle

I have a plan for a weekend outing. I will post it in the groups section.

Kayaking (sea kayak) 3:35:50 [3] 18.8 mi (11:29 / mi)

after the ride I dropped down to the lake and paddled the course. Water was great. one fisherman and the water was like glass. The whole day was beautiful. i should have taken the camera. Nobody will surely believe me that it was georgeous out. where else can you ride up in the mountains and then drop down and get in a 19 mile paddle?
