Morning run up the west ridge, to see the fabled Big Tree. It was appropriately big, though if you want to get picky, I've seen bigger.

Run up to the west ridgeline from camp in Mendocino, and I got most of the way back down the loop then ran into Alex, who made me run back up to the top.

With Carol around Mendocino, doing pretty much the same loop we did when we were here in April.

Lazy climb up Schallenberger Ridge, the mountain on the south side of donner lake. There's sort of a trail along the ridge, but I'd never tried to see how far it goes, and it'd make some sweet loops if it connected all the way over the top. It doesn't. It quickly stopped in solid manzanita, and needs some solid clippers to get through.

Jukola! Had a solid leg, made a few little mistakes and hesitations, and nailed a few different legs, so it averaged out to pretty ok. All kinds of rainy and windy and miserable when you weren't running, then we got the car towed out of the field with a tractor, and now I fly home for 16 hours, assuming I can make a somewhat optimistic connection in Chicago.
