The long goat race, with basically all possible goat rules:
- mass start / following
- skip a control
- forked section (pick one of two forks)
- score-o box
- trail-o control
- super string-o section
Good times. Kept the pack in sight until 6 when we dropped into the maze-o section for the box, then was on my own until 11 when I caught up to Rex. We skipped 12 and ran into Antti on his way back from 12. Rex missed 13 and I missed 14, so we were all on our own after that. All by myself for the long bland leg, which I nailed, then down the canyons and back up on the right forked section (23).

Day 2 classic blue. Good times, much cleaner in general, but had a big mistake on 5 where I was so close and went right past the control into the next gully system and paused for a bit.
Picked up Antti at SFO yesterday, drove to Anza Borrego (it was on the way home). Two races today, both ok.
Snow forecast for the next week: solid.

Morning classic blue at Anza Borrego. Pretty solid run, had a mistake or two of wandering, and a bad route choice at the end.

Maze-o score-o. Started just in front of Antti, and we ended up choosing the same route, but a continuous comedy of errors meant we were back and forth the whole time. I took headcam of this but it was still on 1080p mode so its 4.5 gigs. It will possibly require some post processing.

Wicked chilly outside, but I introduced Jonis to the awesomeness of 120 psi. Then I froze my eyeballs off. Then a third of the way through the second lap Carol's headlamp went into super-low-power reserve non-brightness mode, which isn't so helpful especially after you've previously frozen your eyeballs off. Score one for the cheapo magicshine, at least you can hide the battery when its cold out.
