Blue day 2. Same map as Saturday, and given that we covered most of the map on yesterday's course except fo the mostly-solid-green gigantic hill on the eastern end, we were all expecting the worst. Not to be disappointed, halfway through the first loop I got to run straight up a patchy-open gully all the way up the green hill, and then back down some more good stuff on the other side. But other than that the legs were longer than yesterday so you could sort of go around some of the bad parts. I made myself a pair of duct tape ankle gaiters, though even those got a few sticks poked through them. Also I put a stick through the sole of the arch of my shoe, but couldn't get it out until after the finish when I found a pair of pliers. Made a lot more mistakes than yesterday, a few minutes on a few controls, but it seemed we all had trouble, so I was only a few minutes behind BAOC Greg and managed to sneak in a few seconds ahead of Ben again, so I held onto the lead for the weekend.
