Orienteering long 11:30:00 [4]
SVO rogaine outside Gettysbury PA. Teamed up with Rick for the 24 hour. Perfect weather, no bugs, great facilities at base camp. USGS map with no updates, making it pretty difficult with so many unmapped trails and jeep roads, but we were prepared for that having done the rogaine here a few years ago. Did well the first 6 hours and then had 2 30-minute mistakes over the next couple of hours. Probably should have taken a break earlier and not rushed one control to beat the darkness. Did pretty well night orienteering about 5 controls and slept/rested about 3-4 hours in the woods. Slower of course on Sunday but did fairly well with no major mistakes.
